Favorite Xmas sweet time

INGREDIENTS:
·         1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
·         4 cups Maida 
·         1 cup Ghee
·         1 cup Milk
·         1 egg 
PREPARATION:
Take maida, make  a well and break egg and mix with maida, 
Add ghee and sugar. 
Knead the dough with milk till soft. 
If dough is hard add a bit of water.  
Roll out in shapes and bake/deep fry.   
For crispier version take 3/12 cups atta and 1/2 cup rawa.

Baath

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup regular Rawa
1 cup Maida [self Raising flour]
100 gas Butter
1/2 cup Milk Cream
1 cup Grated Coconut. [Grind with 50 gas Cashews]
1 1/2 cup powdered Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla
4 eggs

PREPARATION:
Mix rawa and maida with the baking powder thoroughly and sift twice on strainer if possible.  
If u dont have strainer then mix nicely with dry spoon.  
In a dry dish break eggs, separating yolk and whites. 
Beat whites stiff. 
Mix cream, butter, sugar and fresh cream till sugar is dissolved.  
Add the rawa/maida/baking powder mixture a little at a time and blend well using stiff whites to soften the dough.  
Add yolks and vanilla and blend.
Last add the cashews ground with cocnut and blend well. 
Pour into a greased and layered dish and bake.

Carrot and Dates Cake

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Cups Carrots (Grated)
  • 2 Cups Dates (Chopped)
  • 2 1/2 cups Maida
  • 1/2 cup Sugar (powdered)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp soda bicarbonate
  • 1 1/4 cup refined oil (butter)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon & cloves powder

PREPARATION:

Beat eggs, Mix Sugar, then mix carrots and dates.
Add Flour and Oil alternately.
Add vanilla essence and keep for 10 - 15 min
Bake in 150 - 175 deg Cel oven

Green Chutney


INGREDIENTS:
·         2 bunches of Coriander leaves
·         1 cup grated coconut 
·         4 green chillies
·         1/2  inch ginger
·         1 medium onion, chopped 
·         1/2 tsp cumin seeds
        ·         1 tsp sugar

        ·         small ball of tamarind paste

        ·         Salt to taste

         

PREPARATION:

Blend all the ingredients in a powerful high watt blender. Use water to get smooth paste.

The chutney is generally used for chutney sandwiches, which are made with sliced bread.

Green Halwa

The first post is going to be my favorite Xmas sweet.

INGREDIENTS:
·         1/2kg sugar
·         ¼ Kg Maida 
·         100 gms Ghee
·         ¼  kg Dessicated Coconut
·         Vanilla essence 
·         Green food coloring.
PREPARATION:
Soak the maida in plenty of water for 2 –3 hrs.
Do not allow any lumps to remain.
Drain out excess water slowly and add sugar and cook.
After bubbles come add coconut[dessicated] essence,
Add color and add ghee little by little.
When soft dough forms and goes round the stirring spoon remove in greased serving tray and cool.
